Overview
The separation of substances with the help of membrane technology is a physical separation process. The big advantage of the membrane technology compared to other separation processes is based on the fact that to be separated materials can be changed neither biologically and chemically nor thermally. The membrane technology opens up new possibilities and increasingly replaces existing technologies like concentration by evaporation or chemical processes resp. can be combined with them. Basically many different membranes with different selectivities are available. In the membrane technology one distinguishes between reverse osmosis, nano filtration and micro filtration.
The Weidner Wassertechnik GmbH offers membrane plants either as a standard product or as a product which is individually customized. Furthermore we have developed our own membrane cleaners which are customized to the demands of our customers.
Reverse osmosis

The reverse osmosis (RO) is a membrane process for the separation of solved materials from a liquid and is based on a pressure operated process where the propulsion results from the difference of the electrochemical potential on both sides of the membrane. During the separation of a pure solvent from a concentrated solution through a semi-permeable membrane the solvent flow resp. diffuses into the concentrated solution until an osmotic balance is reached.
High performance membranes are used in our RO-plants which most notably have a good chemical resistance and a high holding back rate aside from a high flow rate. We produce series and standard plants as wall, standing and frame devices. At your request we also plan and engineer individual versions.
